Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

"It is not death that we should fear, but never beginning to live." – Marcus Aurelius

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross (1926 – 2004) was a Swiss psychiatrist and one of the founders of modern death research. She dealt with the death and how we care for dying people, with sadness and near-death experiences. The well-known theory of the five stages of grief “Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance” was developed by her. With her commitment she made the world aware of the needs of the dying and terminally ill and started a number of projects to improve their situation.
